Stravinsky Mozart Ravel
Saturday May 14, 8:00 pm
Toronto Symphony Orchestra Music Director and former DSO Principal Guest Conductor Peter Oundjian offers a veritable smorgasbord of musical diversity from Stravinsky’s folk-inspired Firebird to Messiaen’s spiritual mysticism. Cleanse your pallet with Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21, “Elvira Madigan” performed by Jeremy Denk, but save room for dessert, Ravel’s Boléro.

Beethoven and Boisvert!!
Saturday May 21, 8:00 pm
The Greek god Prometheus and Beethoven had much in common; both were champions of mankind. In 1801, Beethoven wrote music for the ballet Creatures of Prometheus, which contains thematic material heard in the revolutionary Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”. The profound artistry of our own concertmaster, Emmanuelle Boisvert, is featured on the lovely Romances for Violin.

All Tchaikovsky featuring Olga Kern
Friday May 27, 8:00 pm
Worthless,” declared the composer’s friends. “Impossible to play!” But Tchaikovsky refused to change a note of what became history’s most romantic concerto, the ravishing First Piano Concerto. Van Cliburn Competition winner Olga Kern is the soloist. Leonard Slatkin leads these all-Tchaikovsky concerts, also featuring two takes of forbidden passion, “Romeo and Juliet” and “Francesca da Rimini”.

  3. Ken says:

The web site for buying tickets keeps locking up as well. It’s hard to buy tickets period.

  4. Carolyn Goldstein says:

In checking with the DSO,Inc. website, I see, all tickets as announced by Mr.Slatkin, are not $20.00.
It says, they start at $20. I would like to know, if the box office is still keeping people on hold a long time?

    • David says:

      Hi Carolyn,

All tickets are $20.00 except Box Seats. The website does not reflect this until you go to pay. Yes, the box office is still a mess unfortunately. They need to get that ironed out FAST! I’m sure they will.

  5. David says:

I’ll be at every event, it is too much fun to miss!
